Land Registry (Tabu) & Real-Estate Tax

Registering ownership, a mortgage, a caveat (warning note) or an inheritance at the Israeli Land Registry (Tabu), or filing reports with the Israel Tax Authority, often has to be done by someone in Israel. We do it for you.

How we help

  • Power of attorney covering the specific registration and tax actions
  • Filing and signing at the Land Registry, or with the Israel Land Authority or the housing company, depending on where the property is registered
  • Real-estate tax reports and certificates required for registration
  • Updating you at each stage

Not every property is registered in the Tabu

Some Israeli properties are registered with the Israel Land Authority or with a housing company rather than the Land Registry. Each has its own procedures – we'll identify the right one for your property.

Common questions

What is the Tabu?

It's the common name for the Israeli Land Registry, where ownership and other rights in land are recorded.

Do I need an irrevocable POA for registration?

Sometimes, especially when registration is part of a sale or purchase. We'll advise you.

Can you get me a copy of the registry extract?

Yes. We can obtain a Land Registry extract (nesach tabu) as part of our service.
