The process

How It Works: Your Israeli POA, Start to Finish

Four clear steps – from a Zoom call to a signed document that works in Israel.

  1. Zoom consultation

We talk through what you need to do in Israel and which power of attorney fits – at a time that works in your time zone.

  2. We draft the document

We prepare a clear power of attorney (usually Hebrew with English alongside) tailored to your matter and to the institution that will receive it.

  3. You sign where you live

Before an Israeli consul, or before a local notary followed by an apostille. We tell you exactly what to bring and say.

  4. Send it to Israel – we take it from there

You courier the original to us. We check it, and then use it or pass it to the right person to get things done.

Step by step, in more detail

  1. 1. Zoom consultation

You book a time that suits your time zone. We discuss what you need to do in Israel, who should act for you, and which type of power of attorney fits. You'll leave the call with a clear plan and a written quote.

  2. 2. Drafting the document

We prepare the power of attorney – usually in Hebrew with an English version alongside, so you understand exactly what you're signing. Where needed, we check the requirements of the receiving bank, registry or authority first. You review it and we answer any questions.

  3. 3. Signing in your country

You sign in person, in one of two ways:

We send you simple written instructions for your country: what to bring (usually your passport), what to ask for, and what to check before you leave.

  4. 4. Sending it to Israel

You send the signed original by courier to one of our two branches (Kiryat Ono branch: 9 Shmira Imber St., Kiryat Ono, Israel (map); Tel Aviv branch: 6 Yitzhak Graziani St., Tel Aviv, Israel (map)). We check it carefully, and then use it – or hand it over to whoever needs it – to complete your matter. You get updates by email or WhatsApp along the way.

Good to know: In most cases the signature itself is done in person – before an Israeli consul or a notary in your country. Not sure which route to take? Read how to sign an Israeli POA abroad or our apostille guide.

A newer option for some Israeli citizens: under a 2025 opinion of the Israel Bar's national ethics committee, an Israeli lawyer who is in Israel may, in certain cases, verify your signature on a power of attorney given to a lawyer over a recorded video call – if you are an Israeli citizen, you identify through the government's online identification system, and the document is for administrative or civil use (not for court). It does not apply to every document, so ask us whether it fits your case. Source: Israel Bar ethics committee decision (Hebrew, PDF).

Please note: this page gives general information about Israeli powers of attorney. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship. Requirements can change and can differ between institutions, so we always confirm the details for your specific case.

Not sure where to start? We'll handle it for you.
